"Yes. With Dr. West, if he can take on someone new."

Her smile is polite and warm, keeping her words clear.

"Is he in at the moment?"

"Thank you very much. I can answer any questions to give you the information you need."

Coming in to the chair, she'll take the opportunity to unbundle herself some, getting out of the coat so she doesn't overheat.

"I'm Helena. Helena Adams. It's very nice to meet you."

She sits, but keeps her cane with her. Not merely to know where it is, but Neil will doubtlessly notice how she rests her hand on it, how her thumb runs across the wood to soothe herself, the tension that's subtly through her when talking to someone new, someone who she's trusting with something so terribly important.

"Yes." Admitting this isn't the hard part. It's thinking about everything else with it. The ship. The manor. Or even... "For a long time now, I have had nightmares very regularly, enough that the nights when I don't have them outweigh the nights that I do. I manage enough, and I try to do a number of things to take care of myself, but even though it's been months since my arrival, they haven't lessened. And I'm more afraid of the world than I want to be. Always worrying if something bad is going to happen, or if I'm going to be harmed when there's not great cause to suspect such."

When there is, the survival skills help. They keep her moving, keep her thinking. But if she's going to actually try and build a life, she needs to know how to dial them back. Just enough to be able to think about things like moving out to her own place.

"Is that something you can help with?"
